Anniversary of Viktor Alekseevich Kozlov

Abstract

The article is devoted to the 80th anniversary of V. A. Kozlov and highlights his professional carrier. Since 1969, the life of Viktor Kozlov has been connected with the Leningradskiy, currently St. Petersburg, State University. Since 1972, he has been teaching at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law. He has developed and successfully delivered courses of lectures in the following disciplines: theory of state and law, problems of the theory of state and law, history and methodology of the legal science. In 1979 he was awarded the associate professor title. The sphere of his scientific interests includes methodology of the legal science. Viktor Kozlov is especially famous among legal theoreticians for his monograph “Problems of the Subject and Methodology of the General Theory of Law” published in 1989 which was novel for his time and still remains relevant nowadays. For his merits in training highly qualified specialists, he was granted the title “Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation”.
