Igor Yu. Kozlikhin is 65 years old
Abstract
The present article briefly presents the personality and professional achievements of the professor at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, St. Petersburg State University, honoured scientist of the Russian Federation Igor Yurievich Kozlikhin who is turning 65. The author of the article emphasizes his considerable contribution to the development of the legal science. The article describes his major works in the sphere of history of political and legal doctrines, theory and history of state and law, as well as comparative law. The life of Igor Yurievich Kozlihin has been connected with the Leningradskiy (currently St. Petersburg) State University from 1973. In 1981 he defended his thesis on the topic “The Highest Authorities of the USA during the “New Deal”, 1933– 1939”. In 1995 he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “Law and Policy: Historical and Theoretical Analysis of the Concepts of the Rule of Law”. During 1996–2002 he was the chief editor of the journal “Jurisprudence”. He is an academic supervisor of doctoral theses research, a member of several dissertation councils, and he acts as opponent during the thesis defence. For his merits in training highly qualified specialists, he has been awarded the badge “Honorable Worker of the Higher Professional Education in Russian Federation”
